Agents
Memory Tools in Conversation
The agent can manage its own memories mid-chat, without you opening the Memory tab.
Beyond the Memory tab, an agent can save, recall, list, and forget its own memories directly while you're chatting with it — you never have to leave the conversation to manage what it remembers.
What the Agent Can Do Mid-Chat
| Action | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Save | Stores a new memory under a name it chooses, the same way a memory added from the Memory tab would be. |
| Recall | Searches its saved memories for whatever is most relevant to what you're currently asking about. |
| List | Looks back through everything it has saved so far. |
| Forget | Finds and deletes a memory that matches what you've asked it to forget. |
Triggering It in Chat
You don't need any special syntax. Plain requests like "remember this for later" or "forget what I told you about the expense sheet" are enough for the agent to act directly, mid-conversation.
ℹ️Note
These conversational actions read and write the exact same memory store as the Memory tab. Saving a memory mid-chat and adding one by hand end up in the same place — they're two ways to reach the same memories, not separate systems.
