Creating a Skill

Write a piece of reference text once and let agents read it whenever it's relevant.

A skill  is a short piece of reference text you write once and let agents read when it's relevant — pricing rules, a support playbook, your brand voice, a checklist. Every skill has a title, a one-line description, and the full text. An agent only ever sees the title and description while scanning what's available, and pulls in the full text only when it actually needs it.

ℹ️Note

A skill is reference text the agent reads — it doesn't do anything by itself. If you want the agent to actually run an automation, that's a workflow  instead.

Where to Find It

Open Skills  in the sidebar. There are two tabs: Skills (the reference notes you create and manage) and Lessons  (notes agents record automatically and re-apply on future tasks — see Lessons). A search box in the top-right corner filters by title, description, or content.

Creating a Skill

On the Skills  tab, click New Skill  in the top-right corner. You need permission to manage agents to see this button.

1
Give it a display name
Fill in Display name  (e.g. "Pricing Rules"). A short Handle  is auto-filled from the title — this is the stable name an agent uses to look the skill up. You can edit the handle while creating the skill, but not after it's saved.
2
Add a description
Write a one-line Description. This is what an agent reads when scanning skills to decide whether the full text is worth opening.
3
Write the content
Fill in the Content  box. This is exactly what the agent receives when it reads the skill.
4
Save
Click Save. The skill appears as a card in the list.
💡Tip

Keep a skill focused and well-structured, with clear headings and bullets. Click any skill card to open a read-only view of its full content.
