Triggers
Managing Triggers
Enable, disable, edit or delete a trigger, and control whether it needs your approval before acting.
Each trigger is a row on the Triggers tab, showing its name, the app it watches, the event, the agent it runs, and the last time it fired (if it has).
| Control | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Toggle switch | Enables or disables the trigger. Disabling it stops the trigger from receiving events. |
| Edit (pencil) | Changes the trigger's name, agent, instruction, or approval setting. |
| Delete (trash) | Removes the trigger, which stops it from receiving events. You're asked to confirm first, and this can't be undone. |
Requiring Approval
When editing a trigger, the On destructive actions setting controls what happens when a run would do something sensitive:
| Setting | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Run automatically | The trigger proceeds on its own, with no pause. |
| Block until approved | The trigger pauses and waits for you to approve the sensitive action before it continues. |
Triggers set to Block until approved show a Needs approval badge in the list, so you can tell at a glance which ones might be waiting on you.
ℹ️Note
This is one of several places approval gating can apply across the product — see Approvals Across the Product for the full picture, including how it differs from a conversation's Auto mode.
