Overview & Setup

What a workflow is, where to find them, and how to install one from the Library.

A workflow  is an installable automation that gives an agent a new capability — a set of related actions it can run as part of a conversation or a scheduled task. Instead of building automations from scratch, you browse a library of pre-built workflows, install the ones you need, complete a short setup if one is required, and assign the workflow to an agent.

ℹ️Note

A workflow is something an agent runs. If you just need an agent to read reference information — pricing rules, a support playbook, your brand voice — use a skill  instead.

Where to Find It

Open Workflows  from the sidebar (under More). Two tabs sit alongside a search box: My Workflows  lists everything installed in this workspace, and Library  is the catalog of pre-built workflows available to install, grouped by category.

Browsing and Installing a Workflow

On the Library  tab, find a workflow and click its card to open the detail view. It shows what the workflow does, which integrations it requires, the settings it will ask for, and example prompts you can try once it's installed.

1
Install from the Library
Click +  (Install) on a workflow's card, or click Install  from its detail view. It appears under My Workflows  right away.
2
Run setup if prompted
If the workflow needs configuring, a Configure  (gear icon) button appears on its card. Click it to open the setup wizard — see The Setup Wizard  for the full walkthrough.
3
Assign it to an agent
From an agent's settings, assign the workflow so that agent can use it during a conversation or a scheduled run. See Agents.
