Placeholders & Previewing
Mark the parts of a template that change, then check the layout before an agent relies on it.
Placeholders
A placeholder is written with double curly braces and gets replaced with a real value when a document is generated:
<h1>{{title}}</h1>
<p>Hello {{name}}!</p>When an agent generates a document, it supplies the values, so {{title}} and {{name}} get filled in. Use a placeholder for any content that should change from document to document, and keep the surrounding wording and styling as fixed HTML.
The editor uses Handlebars for placeholders — stick to the {{ ... }} style shown in the starter template. The names inside the braces are up to you, and should match the values the agent will provide.
Previewing Before You Rely on It
The editor can render a preview from sample values so you can check the layout, spacing, and fonts before an agent ever runs it.
{
"title": "March Report",
"name": "Acme Corp"
}Previewing is a safe way to iterate — adjust the HTML, re-enter sample values, and preview again until it looks right, all before any real document is produced.
