Watching a Reply Stream
See how a reply streams in, what the Steps panel shows, and how stopping or resuming works.
Replies appear word by word as the agent thinks — you'll briefly see Thinking… and Working on it… while it's busy.
The Steps Panel
If the agent uses a tool or runs a task along the way, those actions are grouped into an expandable Steps section under the reply. Open Steps to see exactly what the agent did and how long each part took.
Stopping a Reply
While the agent is working, a Stop generating button appears above the message box. Click it to stop the reply early.
Stopping a reply is synced across every other open tab viewing the same conversation — if you have the conversation open elsewhere, it stops there too instead of leaving a spinner stuck on "thinking."
Resuming an Interrupted Reply
If a reply gets interrupted — you close the tab, your network drops, or you refresh the page — reopening the conversation automatically picks the stream back up from where it left off. You won't see the answer restart from scratch or get stuck on a stale, half-finished reply; it keeps streaming in as if you'd never left.
