Custom Workflows
Workflows an agent builds for you while working, and how to review or edit them.
While working in a conversation, an agent can build its own workflow for you. Custom workflows appear in a Your custom workflows section at the top of the My Workflows tab, each marked with an AI badge. A card lists the actions the workflow contains, alongside the same enable/disable switch as any other workflow.
If a card notes that some bindings are unset, the workflow still needs a value or two filled in before it can run — open it to complete the missing settings.
The Workflow Detail Page
Click a custom workflow to open its detail page. From there you can:
- Rename or describe it — click Edit to change its display name or description.
- Enable or disable it with the toggle.
- Delete it — click Delete, then confirm.
- Open an action — each action in the workflow shows as its own card with its name, description, and steps.
If your workspace has Advanced view enabled, an action's underlying code can be shown and, for actions you own, edited and saved right from that panel. This is optional and aimed at advanced users — you never need it to install, configure, or use a workflow. An action added by a publisher may be Locked, meaning its code is hidden and can't be edited.
What an Action Actually Is
Under the hood, a workflow is a container holding one or more actions, and each action is its own independently versioned piece of executable code. The list of "steps" you see on an action's card is a simplified, display-only narration of that code, written for readability — it describes what the code does, but it isn't the literal logic itself. See Function Versions & Rollback for what that versioning means when you edit an action's code.
