Knowledge Base
Overview & Creating
What a knowledge base is, where to find it, and how to create your first one.
What a Knowledge Base Is
A knowledge base is a collection of documents you give an agent so it can look things up while answering. Upload policies, guides, or notes, assign the knowledge base to an agent, and the agent searches it on its own whenever it's relevant — you don't have to point it at a specific document.
Search matches on meaning, not just exact keywords. For example, asking "how many sick days do I get?" can find the right passage even if it's worded differently in the source document.
Where to Find It
Open Knowledge Base from the sidebar, under More. Knowledge bases are listed on the left; select one to see its documents on the right.
