Agents
Editor Tabs Overview
What each tab in the agent editor controls, and why a new agent starts with nothing attached.
Open an agent to edit it. Its settings are organized into tabs along the top. Beyond Identity (see Creating an Agent), you use these tabs to give the agent what it needs:
The Agent Editor Tabs
| Tab | What you set up there |
|---|---|
| Identity | Name, avatar, description, department, and Custom Instruction |
| Integration | Select which connected accounts (e.g. Google Sheets, Slack) this agent may use |
| Workflows | Attach the reusable workflows the agent can run |
| Skills | Choose the skills available to the agent |
| Tools | Enable the custom tools the agent can call |
| Knowledge | Attach knowledge bases the agent can search |
| PDF Templates | Attach document templates the agent can fill in |
| Memory | Review and manage what the agent remembers |
| Permissions | Turn individual agent capabilities on or off |
| Inbox | Give the agent its own inbound email address and settings |
ℹ️Note
Workspace owners and managers also see an Assistant tab for the public website assistant. See Public Assistant & Widget for details.
Why the Tabs Start Empty
A brand-new agent has nothing attached to any of these resource tabs — zero connected accounts, workflows, skills, custom tools, knowledge bases, or PDF templates. Nothing is assigned automatically; you decide, tab by tab, exactly what each agent can reach. See Assigning Resources for how to connect them.
