Creating an Agent

Set up a new agent's identity — name, avatar, description, and instructions.

An agent  is a personified AI assistant you set up once and then chat with. Each agent has its own name, avatar, instructions, and a set of connected resources. Every new workspace comes with a ready-made MAIN  agent, so you can start right away and create more as you go.

Where to find it:  open Agents  in the left sidebar. The screen is titled Agents  with the note "Manage your personified assistants, create new personalities, and start conversations."

Creating an Agent

On the Agents screen, click the New Agent  card. The form opens on the Identity  tab, where you set up who the agent is:

1
Name the agent
Fill in Agent name  (required) — for example, "Sales Assistant."
2
Pick an avatar
Under Agent avatar, choose a generated style — Pixel Art, Robot, or Minimal — or upload your own image.
3
Describe what it does
Use the What does this agent do?  field to write a short summary of the agent's purpose, and optionally add a department label.
4
Write the instructions
In Custom Instruction, describe the agent's persona and how it should behave — e.g. "You are a sales assistant. Qualify leads by asking about company size, budget, and timeline, and keep replies concise." This text is specific to this agent.
5
Create
Click Create. The agent is added to your workspace and you can configure the rest of its tabs.
💡Tip

Changes you make while editing an agent save automatically— you'll see "All changes saved" as you work. Click Done  when you're finished.
