Starting a Conversation

Open Chat, pick an agent, and send your first message — with optional attachments or voice input.

Chat  is where you talk to your agents. You type a message, the agent replies, and the whole back-and-forth is saved as a conversation you can reopen later.

Where to find it:  Chat is the home screen — it's the first thing you see when you sign in. Your past conversations are listed in the left sidebar, grouped under Today, Yesterday, Previous 7 Days, and Older.

Starting a New Chat

When you open a fresh chat you'll see the prompt "What can I do for you?"  with an empty message box. Type into the box (placeholder: "How can I help you today?") and press Send  to begin. To start over at any time, use the New chat button at the top of the sidebar.

Choosing or Switching the Agent

Every conversation runs with one agent. The current agent's name and avatar are shown at the top of the chat. Click it to open the agent picker and choose a different agent to talk to. If you haven't picked one, you'll be chatting with the default assistant.

💡Tip

New here? Your workspace already includes a ready-to-use MAIN  agent, so you can start chatting immediately without setting anything up. See Agents  to create your own.

Sending a Message

1
Type your message
Write what you want in the message box at the bottom — for example, "Summarize the latest rows in my ops spreadsheet."
2
Attach files (optional)
Click Add  next to the message box, or drag a file onto the chat, to attach it before sending. See Attachments & File Outputs  for how uploads, chips, and different file types are handled.
3
Use voice input (optional)
Click the microphone button (Start voice input) to dictate instead of typing, and click it again (Stop voice input) when you're done. Voice input depends on your browser; if it isn't supported, the button is disabled.
4
Send
Press Send. The agent's reply streams back as it works — see Watching a Reply Stream  for what happens next.
