Triggers
Creating a Trigger
Watch an event in a connected app and run an agent every time it happens.
This page covers creating a trigger from a connected-app event— Gmail, Slack, and the like. For a trigger that fires from an inbound HTTP request instead, see Custom Webhook Triggers.
Creating a Trigger
From the Triggers tab, click New trigger in the top-right corner. The dialog reveals each field as you go.
1
Pick the connected app
Choose the Connected app account this trigger should watch. Only accounts you've already connected appear here — see Integrations if you need to connect one first.
2
Choose the event
Pick the Event to listen for from the list of events the chosen app offers. A short description appears under your selection.
3
Adjust event settings (if shown)
Some events have extra options under Event settings. Expand it and fill in any required fields, marked with an asterisk.
4
Choose the agent to run
Under Run this agent, pick which agent should react to the event. Only agents that already have the chosen app assigned to them appear in this list.
5
Write the instruction
Describe what the agent should do each time the event fires.
6
Name it and create
Give the trigger a Name— it's pre-filled from the event but you can change it — then click Create trigger.
ℹ️Note
If no agent appears under Run this agent, it's because no agent has that app assigned yet. Assign the integration to an agent from that agent's Integrations settings, then come back and create the trigger.
